- Candidates must have pursued or completed their MBBS degree from institutions recognized by the Indian Medical Council (MCI).
- They should have completed one year of compulsory internships before or on 31st March of the academic year’s commencement.
- For general category candidates, a minimum of 50% marks in MBBS is required, while for SC, ST, and OBC categories, a minimum of 45% marks is necessary.
- Foreign Medical Graduates must clear the FMGE Screening test and possess permanent or provisional registration with the MCI to be eligible for the NEET-PG exam.
- Foreign nationals can also take the NEET-PG exam, and temporary registration with the MCI is not mandatory for them. However, they need to be registered with the appropriate authority in their own country, and their medical qualification must be recognized by the relevant authority in their country.

MD/MS Admission process in India
- Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set by the respective medical colleges or universities offering the MD/MS program. This usually includes completion of the MBBS degree from a recognized institution, fulfilling internship requirements, and achieving the minimum required percentage of marks.
- Entrance Examination: Candidates are required to appear for entrance examinations conducted at the national or state level.
