The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is the national level entrance exam for admission into various undergraduate medical courses in India including MBBS, AYUSH, BDS, veterinary and other medical/paramedical courses. The exam is conducted once a year by the National Testing Agency (NTA), an autonomous authority under the Central government. The exam is conducted in 11 languages that include 10 Indian languages and English. The NEET 2022 is scheduled to be held on 17th July 2022.

Eligibility Criteria for NEET 2022
The eligibility criteria as prescribed by the National Testing Authority are listed below.
Nationality:
- Indian Nationals
- Non-Resident Indians
- Overseas Citizen of India (OCI Cardholder)
- Person of Indian Origin (PIO)
- Foreign Nationals
Age Limit:
- The Minimum age, as of 31st December 2022, should be 17 years completed
- No ceiling age limit
Basic Qualification:
- Class 12 or equivalent from an institute recognised by the government (centre or state)
- Candidates who are completing class 12 or equivalent in summer 2022 can are also eligible to apply for NEET 2022
Mandatory Subjects:
- Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in class 12 or other equivalent exams are eligible.
- Candidates who have completed their class 12 exams with Biology as an additional subject are also eligible to apply.

NEET 2022 – The Registration Process
The Registration for NEET 2022 can be done on the official website of NTA when the registration window opens.
Step 1: NEET 2022 Registration
- Visit NTA Official Website – nta.neet.nic.in
- Create your registration ID and password
Step 2: Fill the NEET 2022 Application Form
- Login using the registration ID and password you had created
- Enter your personal and educational information
- Enter the test centre of your choice
Step 3: Documents Uploading
- This includes uploading passport size photographs, scanned copy of your signature, ID proof and other documents as per the guidelines.

Exam Day Guidelines for NEET 2022
Knowing the exam day guidelines is also an integral part of the preparation for candidates. Awareness about the exact location of the exam centre, the hall ticket instructions, the reporting time, etc helps in reducing last minute hassles. Things to be carried to the exam hall are given below.
- Admit Card/Hall ticket
- Candidate’s photographs
- Identity Proof – PAN card, Passport, Aadhar card, Voter ID.
- Face mask and gloves
- Transparent hand sanitiser
- Candidates should read the instructions given in the admit card fully and comply with the same until the exam gets over.
- Candidates should fill the NEET 2022 admit card with utmost care.
- Reaching the exam hall at least 20 to 30 minutes before the reporting time is important.
- A blue/black ballpoint pen will be given to every candidate in the exam centre. Candidates should shade the OMR sheet only by using that pen.
- No arrangements to store their wallets, mobile phones and other valuables will be provided to candidates. They are not advised to bring any such things along with them.
- Before starting the exam, candidates should check if the details printed in the question and answer booklets are the same as they had mentioned earlier.
- No candidate shall be allowed to leave the exam hall before the completion of the stipulated time frame.
- Candidates shall necessarily submit the answer booklet to the hall supervisor/invigilator before leaving the exam hall.
- In case of discrepancies/differences arising between the content given in English and other languages, the English version of the paper shall be considered final.
- Candidates should only sit in the area allotted to them as directed by the hall supervisor/invigilator. Taking the exam in places other than the allotted space is strictly prohibited.
NEET 2022: Dress Code
Candidates should adhere to the guidelines prescribed by NTA on the day of the exam. The permitted dress code on the day of the exam is given below.

Admit Card for NEET 2022
The National Testing Authority will release the NEET 2022 admit card in the first week of July. Candidates can download the admit cards from the official website of NTA using their user ID and password. Candidates are advised to take a coloured printout of the admit card for future purposes. They should affix their passport size photograph and get the admit card signed by their parent/guardian.

- Candidates can check their results from the official website of NTA.
- Click on the ‘Download Results’ tab.
- Enter your user id and password. The NEET 2022 scorecard will appear on the screen.
- Download and take a printout of the scorecard for future references.

Counselling Process for NEET 2022
The counselling for NEET 2022 is conducted online. Medical Counselling Committee is the competent authority to conduct NEET 2022 counselling for the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats. The counselling for 15% AIQ seats is held in three rounds and one mop-up round. The steps in the counselling process are given below for your reference.

NEET 2022 – Preparation Tips
- Memorize the NEET 2022 syllabus thoroughly.
- Choose a study material and stick to it (referring to multiple books for one topic isn’t advisable).
- Frame a timetable and follow it religiously.
- Strategize your exam preparation based on your strengths and weaknesses.
- Begin your preparation from strengths (topics you are most comfortable with) and gradually move to unfamiliar parts.
- Take handwritten notes on topics that are challenging and you often forget
